The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reassigned its four deputy governors, moving them to new departments in a major internal reshuffle.
The Governor of the CBN, Olayemi Cardoso, approved the changes on Monday night.
Under the new arrangement, Philip Ikeazor now heads the policy portfolio, taking over from Dr. Muhammad Abdullahi, who has been moved to the Corporate Services Directorate.
Dr. Emem Nnana Usoro has been redeployed from Corporate Services to oversee Operations, while Lamido Yuguda moves from Operations to the Financial System Stability Directorate.
The apex bank did not give reasons for the changes.
It said the redeployment was aimed at deploying the experience of senior officials across different areas of responsibility in line with institutional priorities.
The Central Bank of Nigeria said the new postings take immediate effect.
