Chalamet, Buckley Lead Big Night at Golden Globes 2026

Timothée Chalamet and Jessie Buckley emerged as major winners at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, as Hollywood kicked off the race toward the 2026 Oscars.

Chalamet, 30, won Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for Marty Supreme, beating Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney.

“I’m in a category with many greats,” Chalamet said. “Missing out before makes this moment even sweeter.”

One Battle After Another led the night with four awards, including Best Musical or Comedy Film and Best Director, despite DiCaprio missing out on an acting win.

AWARD

Irish star Jessie Buckley took Best Actress in a Drama for Hamnet, which also won Best Drama Film.

“This is a real honour,” Buckley said. “I love being part of this industry.”

The Globes are a key stop on the road to the Academy Awards, and Chalamet’s win has boosted his Oscar chances, while Hamnet now stands out as a major awards-season contender.
