The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to restore calm and entrench lasting peace across Plateau State.

The COAS also met with local leaders and residents, emphasizing the army’s commitment to safeguarding law-abiding citizens. He urged compliance with curfews and full cooperation with ongoing investigations.

Local officials welcomed the visit. Jos North LGA Chairman, Hon. Dachung Bagos, said the presence of top military leadership boosts public confidence and trust in security efforts.

Councillor Ladi Dangyok of Naraguta ‘B’ Ward called it “a strong reassurance to affected communities.”

Under Shaibu, the Nigerian Army continues to collaborate with sister security agencies and the Plateau State Government to restore peace, strengthen community resilience, and ensure the state remains safe and secure.
