Country music legend Dolly Parton has been laid to rest beside her late husband, Carl Dean, in Nashville, Tennessee.
The 80-year-old singer had a private family funeral on Friday, following her death earlier in the week.
She was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum, where Dean was also laid to rest.
Parton’s great-niece, Lainey Parton, paid an emotional tribute, remembering the music icon as a loving and supportive grandmother who encouraged her dreams and always made her feel she could achieve anything.
Tributes have continued across the United States, with a special concert held at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry on Saturday.
Family members and country music stars, including Jelly Roll and Carly Pearce, performed some of Parton’s songs in her honour.
Meanwhile, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has announced plans to name Nashville International Airport after Parton, in recognition of her contribution to music and the state.
Parton’s seven-decade career produced numerous hit songs and inspired generations of musicians.
Beyond music, she was also known for her philanthropy, including the Imagination Library, which provides free books to children.
