The Federal Government has appointed Dr. John Nwabueze as Nigeria’s new Tax Ombudsman under the Joint Revenue Board of Nigeria Act, 2025.
The appointment is part of President Bola Tinubu’s push to reform the country’s tax and revenue system.
Dr. Nwabueze is from Oshimili South in Delta State and has experience in both the public and private sectors.
He previously served as Managing Partner of a top tax advisory firm, Technical Adviser to the Senate Committees on FCT and Finance, and also advised the Chief Economic Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
