The Nigeria National League (NNL) has confirmed the promotion of four clubs to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) following the conclusion of the 2025/2026 season.
The promoted clubs are Doma FC, Sporting Lagos, Ranchers Bees and Inter Lagos.
The decision was reached during the NNL end-of-season board meeting held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the auditorium of Beyond Limits FC in Ikenne.
In a communiqué issued after the meeting, the board also ratified the relegation of 10 clubs to the Nationwide League One (NLO) over poor performances during the campaign.
The relegated clubs are Gombe United FC, Sporting Supreme FC, Mighty Jets, City FC and Dakkada FC.
Others are Abia Comets FC, Gateway FC, First Bank FC, Osun United FC and Rovers FC.
The board commended the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Gusau, for what it described as his support and commitment to the growth of the NNL.
It also appreciated Kunle Soname for providing facilities at the Remo Stars Stadium for the staging of the 2026 Super 4 competition.
The board further praised the working relationship between the NNL and the Nigeria Nationwide League Owners and Managers Association (NALCOMA), while commending referees and match commissioners for their performance during the season.
Meanwhile, the NNL proposed late July or early August 2026 for its Annual General Meeting (AGM), with the venue to be announced later.
The board also passed a vote of confidence on NNL chairman, George Aluo, citing his leadership style, transparency and contributions to the development of the league.
