The agency disclosed the incident in a statement issued on Sunday by its Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, Adebayo Taofiq.

He said four passengers lost their lives in the collision, while four others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

According to the statement, emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the accident to rescue victims and restore traffic flow along the busy corridor.
