GOC 81 DIV Maj. Gen. Mijinyawa Charges Officers to Lead with Purpose

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, has urged newly promoted senior officers to maintain purposeful and exemplary leadership.

Speaking, at the decoration ceremony held at Hippo Officers' Mess, Victoria Island, Lagos, he congratulated officers promoted from Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel and Colonel to Brigadier General.

“The Division’s success reflects your dedication, discipline, and hard work,” Maj. Gen. Mijinyawa said.

“Your promotions are merit-based; continue leading by example and mentoring your troops.”

He also thanked the officers’ spouses for their unwavering support.

Newly promoted officers include Brigadier Generals IB Sheriff, MI Abdulkadir, OS Idowu, and Colonels OA Olubo and M Bwete.

HIPPO

Brigadier General IB Sheriff, on behalf of the promoted officers, expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff and pledged renewed commitment to their duties.

The event was attended by top military officials, dignitaries, and families, concluding with group photos.
