Guinness World Records Recognises Hilda Baci for World’s Largest Jollof Rice Serving

Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has secured another spot in the Guinness World Records, this time for preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice weighing an astonishing 8,780 kilogrammes (19,356 lb 9 oz).

The record-breaking feat, achieved in collaboration with food brand Gino, took place in Victoria Island, Lagos, and was officially confirmed by Guinness World Records on Monday.

Announcing the milestone on X (formerly Twitter), the organisation wrote:
“New record: Largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”

Baci, who captured international attention in 2023 with her viral cook-a-thon, has once again spotlighted Nigerian cuisine on the global stage with this remarkable achievement.
