
Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has secured another spot in the Guinness World Records, this time for preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice weighing an astonishing 8,780 kilogrammes (19,356 lb 9 oz).
The record-breaking feat, achieved in collaboration with food brand Gino, took place in Victoria Island, Lagos, and was officially confirmed by Guinness World Records on Monday.
Announcing the milestone on X (formerly Twitter), the organisation wrote:
“New record: Largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”
