Iran backed Houthi rebels have launched attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea, raising fresh concerns over global oil supplies and regional security.
The attacks have forced some tankers to change their routes, disrupting one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes and increasing fears of possible pressure on global energy markets.
The latest developments come as Iran vows to respond “eye for an eye” to actions by the United States.
At the same time, the United Kingdom has withdrawn its diplomats from Iran, while U.S. forces have carried out a twelfth consecutive night of strikes on Iranian targets.
