The Lagos State Government says it will compensate victims of the Ikoyi building collapse if they provide the required documentation.
On the 21st of November, 2021, a 21-storey building cascaded killing 46 people; with 15 survivors.
But more than a month after an investigative panel of inquiry submitted its report to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Government is yet to release either the report or white paper.
Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, told Jimi Disu on Daily Digest that once sorted, payment of compensation wouldn’t be a problem.
