The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received a petition from Kogi-Central constituents seeking to recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
The petition was submitted on Monday and carries over 250,000 signatures from the zone’s 500,000 registered voters.
Upon receiving the petition, INEC officials started a closed-door meeting at the commission's headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting, to deliberate on the recall process, was ongoing as of press time.
