The Independent National Electoral Commission has presented Certificates of Return to Osun State Governor-elect Ademola Adeleke and his deputy, Kola Adewusi, following their victory in the August 15 governorship election.
The certificates were presented at the INEC state headquarters in Osogbo by the National Commissioner supervising the state, Prof. Yinka Ajayi.
The presentation formally affirmed Adeleke as the governor-elect and Adewusi as deputy governor-elect of Osun State.
Adeleke secured victory in the election, defeating his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, according to the results declared by INEC.
