INEC Uploads NDC’s Approved Logo Following Court Order, Party Says

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) says the Independent National Electoral Commission has uploaded its approved party logo in compliance with a High Court judgment, clearing the way for its candidates to proceed with campaign activities.

In a statement, the party described the development as a major step for its leadership, candidates and members ahead of the elections.

The NDC commended the judiciary and INEC Chairman Joash Amupitan, along with the commission’s officials, for complying with the court judgment.

The party also praised its National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, members of the National Executive Committee and its candidates for their efforts and patience during the dispute over the party’s logo.

“Our approved logo has now been uploaded, and candidates can print campaign materials and continue their consultations and campaigns with certainty,” the statement said.

The NDC urged its candidates to work closely with the party at all levels when forming campaign teams, stressing that they are party candidates and not independent candidates.

It also warned members against what it described as “propaganda and misinformation” capable of creating division within its ranks.

The NDC said it remains committed to defending democratic rights and strengthening multiparty democracy.

“We are fighters, and we will fight until the end,” the statement said.
