Iran Foreign Minister to Visit Moscow for Talks on Negotiations and Ceasefire

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will travel to Moscow on Monday for talks with Russian officials on the latest developments in regional negotiations and ceasefire efforts, Iran’s ambassador to Russia said.

Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali confirmed the visit in remarks to the ISNA news agency, saying the discussions will focus on “the latest status of negotiations, the ceasefire and surrounding developments.”

He also highlighted close ties between Tehran and Moscow.

Jalali said the visit comes amid ongoing tensions linked to what he described as the “Ramadan War,” referring to the recent escalation involving Iran, Israel and the United States.

He said Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has spoken three times with Russian President Vladimir Putin since the conflict began.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry also confirmed the planned visit, according to the state news agency RIA Novosti, but did not provide further details on the agenda.

The trip underscores continued diplomatic coordination between Tehran and Moscow as regional tensions persist.
