Israel Demolishes Homes in Southern Lebanon as Occupation Continues

Israeli forces have demolished several homes in the southern Lebanese town of Haddatha in Bint Jbeil district, according to Lebanon's National News Agency, as military operations continue in areas under Israeli occupation.

The reported demolitions come amid growing concern over the destruction of civilian infrastructure in southern Lebanon despite ongoing diplomatic efforts to stabilize the border region.

An analysis published in April by Al Jazeera, based on satellite imagery and open-source intelligence, alleged that Israel has pursued a deliberate strategy of rendering parts of southern Lebanon uninhabitable through widespread destruction.

The report drew parallels with Israel's military campaign in the Gaza Strip, where large-scale damage to homes and infrastructure has displaced most of the enclave's 2.3 million residents.

Lebanese officials have repeatedly called for an end to Israeli military operations and the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement, while Israel maintains that its operations are aimed at addressing security threats along the border.

The latest demolitions are expected to heighten tensions as international efforts continue to push for lasting stability in southern Lebanon.
