The Israeli military says it has carried out strikes targeting Hezbollah command centres in the southern Lebanese city of Tyre, escalating cross-border tensions in the region.
In a statement posted on Telegram, the Israel Defense Forces said the operation is focused on what it described as Hezbollah operational sites in the area. It did not immediately provide details on casualties or damage.
The announcement followed an earlier Israeli warning and forced displacement order issued for parts of Tyre, urging civilians to leave ahead of potential strikes.
Local authorities in Lebanon have not yet confirmed the full impact of the reported attacks.
