JAMB Issues Fresh Warning as 2026 UTME Registration Continues

JAMB is sending a clear message to candidates registering for the 2026 UTME: don’t cut corners.

The Board says anyone caught committing registration infractions or violating the attestation signed during registration could face serious consequences.

JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, gave the warning on Monday as the registration process enters its third week.

According to him, offenders risk being barred from sitting for the UTME for as long as three years.

He also said the names of defaulters could be published in national newspapers and circulated to other public examination bodies.

And it doesn’t stop there. Oloyede added that candidates involved in serious offences could be handed over to the EFCC, ICPC, or the Police for prosecution.

JAMB says the goal is to protect the integrity of the UTME process and ensure fair play for all candidates.
