Jonathan Calls for Prayers for Peace, Security, National Unity

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has urged Nigerians to use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration as a time to pray for peace, security and national unity across the country.

In his Eid message, Jonathan said the festival reflects the values of faith, obedience and sacrifice, which he described as important for nation-building and sustaining hope during difficult times.

The former president noted that Nigeria is currently facing challenges that require both spiritual reflection and collective action, especially in the areas of peace and security.

According to him, Nigerians must see the country’s diversity as a source of strength rather than division, while embracing unity and selflessness in promoting national development.

Jonathan also called on citizens to remain committed to protecting the country’s future and prayed for divine blessings and stability as Muslims in Nigeria and across the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
