Lagos Seals, Hotels, 12 Churches, Businesses Over Environmental Violations

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has sealed 12 establishments across parts of the state over alleged persistent violations of environmental regulations.

LASEPA says the establishments, located in areas including Ogba, Ejigbo, Igando, Ikotun, Agodo-Egbe and Idimu-Ikota, were shut during an enforcement exercise on Tuesday despite previous warnings and abatement notices.

The affected establishments include Thrillz Lounge, Marvel Hotel & Suites, Keviz Hotel & Suites, Nico Hotel & Suites, Kobo Night Club and Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge. 

The Celestial Church of Christ’s Aduragbemi Parish in Ikotun was also sealed over noise pollution and non-compliance with the agency’s directives.

LASEPA General Manager, Babatunde Ajayi, urged businesses, religious institutions and residents to comply with environmental regulations and obtain the required permits and approvals.
