Lagos Urges Action Against Child Labour

As the world marks the International Day Against Child Labour, the Lagos State Government is calling for stronger efforts to protect children from exploitation.

The government says every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and build a better future free from labour and abuse.

Officials say protecting children is a shared responsibility that requires support from families, communities and institutions.

The state is also calling for improved access to education, safety and opportunities for children, while urging stakeholders to stand against practices that deny them their rights.

Lagos says a better society can only be built when children are protected, valued and empowered.
