Malami to Appeal Court Ordered Forfeiture of Properties

Former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, says he will challenge the court ruling ordering the forfeiture of properties linked to him.

Malami, through his media aide, Bello Doka, said he disagrees with parts of the judgment but remains committed to the rule of law.

He said his legal team has been instructed to file an appeal at the Court of Appeal, insisting that the matter is not yet concluded.

Malami urged Nigerians and the media to avoid drawing conclusions while the legal process continues.

The former justice minister also called on his supporters to remain calm and law abiding, saying he believes justice will eventually prevail.

The Federal High Court in Abuja had ordered the final forfeiture of several properties linked to Malami to the Federal Government in a case filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
