Martial arts icon and actor Chuck Norris has died at 86, his family announced Friday.
The family said Norris passed Thursday in Hawaii, surrounded by loved ones, describing him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Born Carlos Ray Norris on March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma, he made his screen debut in the 1970 sitcom Room 222 and rose to global fame in the 1972 Bruce Lee film The Way of the Dragon.
He became a household name with roles in Good Guys Wear Black, Missing in Action, and the long-running TV series Walker: Texas Ranger, blending martial arts mastery with action hero charisma.
