Lionel Messi has become the first player in Major League Soccer (MLS) history to win the Golden Boot in consecutive seasons.
The Inter Miami captain secured the award after finishing the 2026 regular season with 26 goals in 31 appearances.
The 39-year-old Argentine finished four goals ahead of FC Dallas forward Petar Musa, who scored 22 times.
Nashville SC striker Sam Surridge came third with 21 goals.
According to MLS, Messi also recorded 17 assists, taking his total goal contributions to 43, the highest in the league this season.
His latest achievement comes a year after he won the 2025 Golden Boot with 29 goals, making him the first player in MLS history to score at least 25 goals in consecutive seasons.
Messi's award was confirmed on Saturday after Inter Miami played out a 3-3 draw against Charlotte FC in their final regular-season fixture.
Although he failed to score, the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner provided the assists for Miami's first two goals, both from corner kicks.
Ian Fray, Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul scored for Miami, but Charlotte fought back to secure a late equaliser through Rodolfo Aloko in the 90th minute.
The draw left Inter Miami second in the Eastern Conference with 60 points, earning home advantage for the opening two rounds of the playoffs.
The defending champions will face Columbus Crew in the first round as they begin their bid to retain the MLS Cup title they won last season.
