The combined wealth of the 10 richest men in the world reached $2.8 trillion as of Sept. 1, 2026, up from $2.6 trillion the previous month, according to Forbes tracking data.
Tech billionaires continued to dominate the ranking, with Elon Musk retaining the top position after his fortune rose by $202 billion in August to $892 billion.
Google co-founder Larry Page ranked second with $277 billion, followed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos with $268 billion and Google co-founder Sergey Brin with $256 billion.
Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell placed fifth with $241 billion, while Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg ranked sixth with $197 billion.
Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison moved up to seventh with $193 billion, followed by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang with $191 billion.
Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer returned to the top 10 in ninth place with $155 billion, while Inditex founder Amancio Ortega ranked 10th with $148 billion.
Bernard Arnault and Warren Buffett dropped out of the top 10 following declines in the shares of LVMH and Berkshire Hathaway.
