Nigeria’s National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has expanded its operational fleet with three 20-foot trucks to boost nationwide enforcement against counterfeit and unwholesome products.
The vehicles were officially handed over to the Directorate of Investigation and Enforcement at its Apapa office in Lagos.
Dr. Martins Iluyomade, Director of Investigation and Enforcement and Chairman of the Federal Taskforce on Counterfeit and Fake Drugs and Unwholesome Processed Foods, commended NAFDAC Director-General Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye for prioritizing operational resources.
Iluyomade stated that the new transport assets will streamline the movement of personnel, specialized equipment, and confiscated goods, allowing the agency to respond faster to regulatory violations across the country.
The deployment comes amid an intensified national crackdown on fake, unregistered, and dangerous regulated goods.
