Nigeria Info FM’s official YouTube channel has crossed the 100,000-subscriber mark, a milestone built on thousands of broadcast hours, rapid digital expansion and viewer-focused engagement.
The channel crossed the 100,000-subscriber mark on August 13 and now has more than 103,000 subscribers, with over 14,000 videos uploaded.
The growth reflects the station’s efforts to extend its talk, news and sports programming beyond traditional radio and reach audiences across digital platforms.
Rather than treating digital media as a secondary outlet, Nigeria Info has made its YouTube channel a visual extension of its studio broadcasts.
Audiences tune in live to flagship programmes while also watching highlight clips and full show reruns at their convenience.
Olamide Fadoju, Head of the Digital Team, described the six-figure subscriber milestone as a defining achievement that strengthens the digital division’s standing among the country’s top broadcasting teams.
Fadoju also commended the station’s executive management for providing the infrastructure and freedom needed to scale its online presence.
Digital team member Kenneth Odoeme said the strategy was straightforward: conversations that start on radio should continue beyond the broadcast schedule.
The team repurposes radio segments for social media feeds and uses interactive YouTube comments to create an ongoing space for listener feedback.
Human-angle stories, unedited caller debates and deep dives into socio-political issues consistently perform strongly on the platform because they reflect real-life Nigerian experiences.
Beyond viral daily headlines and trending political clashes, team member Samuel Akpan says the platform is also deliberately used to unpack complex or traditionally overlooked policy issues, supporting the station’s public education mandate.
A review of the @NigeriaInfoFM YouTube channel shows the breadth of its visual programming.
Among its top-performing longform content are investigative features and topical geopolitical discussions.
Its exclusive feature on South Africa’s migrant and Afrophobia crisis, titled Afrophobia: South Africa’s Migrant Crisis Explained, has recorded more than 342,000 views.
Popular daily segments, including Dailies Today and Morning Digest with Jimi Disu, regularly attract tens of thousands of views per episode.
Viral opinion reactions on political figures and public safety issues also draw significant engagement.
With its digital footprint continuing to expand, Nigeria Info FM maintains its commitment to delivering timely news, unfiltered public opinions and sports coverage that keeps Nigerians connected wherever they are.
