The Federal Government will resume the evacuation of stranded Nigerian nationals from South Africa on Monday, with 271 evacuees expected to arrive in Lagos on Tuesday morning.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed this in an update issued by its spokesperson, **Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa**.
According to the ministry, an Air Peace aircraft is scheduled to depart Nigeria at 3 p.m. on Monday and arrive in South Africa at about 9 p.m. local time.
The return flight is expected to leave South Africa at midnight and arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Tuesday morning.
The ministry said about 271 Nigerians are expected to be evacuated on the flight.
The latest operation marks the resumption of the Federal Government's evacuation exercise for Nigerian nationals in South Africa.
No further details were provided on the circumstances necessitating the evacuation or whether additional evacuation flights have been scheduled.
