The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Lagos State Command has deployed 3,100 officers across key locations to ensure safety during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
State Commandant Adedotun Keshinro said deployments cover markets, parks, worship centres, waterways, and critical infrastructure, in line with the National Protection Policy.
The operation includes units from intelligence, anti-vandal squads, armed teams, and counterterrorism.
Keshinro assured Lagosians of a peaceful, crime-free festive season and emphasized close collaboration with other security agencies to maximize effectiveness.
He extended holiday greetings and urged residents to embrace peace and compassion.
The command thanked the Lagos State Government and security partners for their support.
