The National Youth Service Corps has announced that the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 orientation course will commence on June 10 across the country.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the NYSC said prospective corps members would begin registration at orientation camps nationwide on Wednesday, June 10.
The statement, signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, said registration would end at midnight on Friday, June 12, in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the scheme, the swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 prospective corps members will also take place on Friday, June 12.
The NYSC added that the orientation exercise would officially conclude on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
The scheme wished all mobilised graduates safe journeys to their respective orientation camps and reiterated its warning against night travel.
It advised prospective corps members to suspend journeys once it is 6 p.m. and pass the night at any available corps members’ lodge, military formation, police station, outpost or palace of a traditional ruler before continuing their trips the following morning.
The NYSC urged corps members to prioritise their safety while travelling to orientation camps across the country.
