Meanwhile, Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for Hamnet.
Host Conan O’Brien and presenters, including Javier Bardem, delivered pointed political remarks during the ceremony.
A moving In Memoriam segment also honoured late filmmaker Rob Reiner and other stars.
Organisers said the awards celebrated “the power of storytelling and creativity in film.”
