Owoeye Daniella Tops 2026 UTME With 372 as JAMB Releases Admission Cut-Off Marks

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the list of top-performing candidates in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, featuring several high scorers who recorded marks between 367 and 372.

The list was presented during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja on Monday.

According to the board, the top candidates reflect strong performances across different states, institutions and course choices, particularly in Medicine, Engineering and Computer Science programmes.

Leading the list is Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin, who scored 372. She sat for the examination in Ogun State, hails from Ekiti State, and selected the University of Lagos for Medicine and Surgery (MBBS).

Enwere Kingsley Ikenna scored 370. He wrote the exam in Lagos State, originates from Imo State, and selected Nile University for Computer Science.

Bamisile Ayomide Emmanuel scored 369. He sat in Ogun State, hails from Ondo State, and chose the Federal University of Technology, Akure, for Software Engineering.

Olabiyisi Olanrewaju Oluwatimileyin scored 368, with state of origin listed as Oyo State and selected Pan-Atlantic University for Mechatronics Engineering.

Victor-Onyeka Daniel Ifeanyi also scored 368. He wrote the exam in Rivers State, hails from Imo State, and selected the University of Port Harcourt for Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

Osagiobare Daniel Osahenrumwen scored 368. He is from Edo State and selected the University of Benin for Mechanical Engineering.

Ademiluyi Adebowale Anthony scored 368. He wrote in Osun State, is also from Osun, and selected the Obafemi Awolowo University for Computer Engineering.

Azuike Kenechukwu Anthony scored 368. He sat in Lagos State, originates from Anambra State, and selected Afe Babalola University for Software Engineering.

Offorkile Michael Okechukwu scored 367. He wrote the exam in Anambra State, hails from Abia State, and selected Computer Science.

Adebisi Eniola Sonari also scored 367. He sat in Osun State, hails from Ogun State, and selected Covenant University for Computer Science.

Umukoro Gift Orhenevovwero scored 367. He wrote in Edo State, originates from Delta State, and selected the University of Lagos for Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

The board also used the policy meeting to release the approved minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination cut-off marks for the 2026 admission exercise.

Institutions’ cut-off marks were presented to stakeholders during the meeting, with Pan-Atlantic University setting the highest benchmark at 220.

Several top federal universities, including University of Lagos, University of Ibadan, University of Nigeria, University of Benin and Obafemi Awolowo University, all adopted a minimum cut-off mark of 200.

Other institutions such as Lagos State University and Lagos State University of Science and Technology fixed 195, while Lagos State University of Education set 185.

Several universities, including Ahmadu Bello University, University of Ilorin, University of Abuja, Nigeria Police Academy and others, adopted 180 as their minimum benchmark.

A large number of federal, state and private universities set their cut-off marks between 150 and 170 depending on course competitiveness.

JAMB explained that the approved figures represent minimum admission thresholds, noting that universities remain free to set higher requirements for competitive courses such as Medicine and Surgery, Law, Pharmacy and Engineering.
