Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the Director-General of the disputed Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), says he is ready to cooperate with investigators probing the agency controversy.
Adeyemi said he would submit documents in his possession to security agencies to assist the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in its investigation into the council, which the Presidency has described as fictitious.
He spoke during an Instagram interview with social media personality VeryDarkMan, hours after President Bola Tinubu directed the ICPC to investigate the activities of the purported agency and submit a report within 30 days.
Adeyemi said investigators should authenticate the documents he possesses and determine the truth behind the council’s operations.
He questioned how the agency could appear in the 2026 national budget with an allocation of N1.3 billion if it was non-existent, saying he was not involved in preparing or defending the budget.
On his allegations against President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Adeyemi said he would rather allow an independent investigation to determine the facts.
The Presidency has maintained that the Federal Government never established the PFIPC and accused Adeyemi of using forged documents to present himself as head of a government agency.
Tinubu’s directive to the ICPC also covers alleged forged appointment letters, government documents and bank accounts opened in the name of the disputed council.
