The Plateau State Government has filed terrorism-related charges against five suspects arrested by the Department of State Services over the Angwa-Rukuba killings in Jos North Local Government Area.
State Attorney General Philemon Audu Daffi said the suspects are facing counts including criminal conspiracy and terrorism, while one defendant, Adamu Isa Alhassan, is additionally charged with culpable homicide and illegal arms possession.
The suspects were arrested between April 3 and April 10, following the attack that left over 30 people dead.
The development comes weeks after President Bola Tinubu visited Plateau and pledged justice for victims.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang has described the attacks as genocide, insisting the state will not be deterred as efforts continue to restore peace.
