Presidency Fires Back at Aregbesola, Defends Tinubu’s Policies

The Presidency has criticised former Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola over his comments on the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement, presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga described Aregbesola’s remarks as hypocritical and politically motivated.

He questioned Aregbesola’s record in office, citing challenges during his time as governor of Osun State and as a minister under former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Presidency also dismissed the African Democratic Congress as lacking a clear agenda for Nigerians.

Onanuga defended the government’s policies, saying measures have been introduced to ease economic hardship and improve security.

He noted that the administration is investing in security operations and working with intelligence agencies to address threats.

The statement added that the government’s Renewed Hope agenda is yielding results, urging Nigerians to disregard what it called misleading narratives.
