Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah has challenged UEFA after a tribute it made on social media to Palestinian footballer, Suleiman al-Obeid.
The Egyptian international responded to the post by the European football governing body which paid tribute to the footballer but didn't touch on the circumstances surrounding his death.
41-year-old Obeid was killed on Wednesday in an Israeli attack while waiting for humanitarian aid in southern Gaza Strip, as announced on Thursday by the Palestinian Football Association (PFA).
On Friday, UEFA in a post on X wrote: "Farewell to Suleiman al-Obeid, the 'Palestinian Pele'.
"A talent who gave hope to countless children, even in the darkest of times."
Salah responded on Saturday, saying: "Can you tell us how he died, where, and why?"
The Liverpool forward has previously publicly called on "world leaders to come together to prevent further slaughter of innocent souls" amid the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict.
The 33-year-old also stated that humanitarian aid must be "immediately" allowed to Gaza.
Suleiman al-Obeid, 41, scored more than 100 goals during his career, including two in international games, according to the PFA.
He was well known as the "Pele of Palestinian football."
