Senegal Name Mané, Jackson In 2026 World Cup Squad

Senegal have announced their 23-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with captain Sadio Mané and Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson leading the Teranga Lions’ squad for the tournament.

Head coach Pape Thiaw named a balanced squad blending experienced stars with emerging talents as the West Africans prepare for their Group I campaign.

Veteran goalkeeper Edouard Mendy will lead the goalkeeping department, while defensive leader Kalidou Koulibaly anchors the backline alongside Moussa Niakhaté and Ismail Jakobs.

In midfield, Pape Matar Sarr, Habib Diarra and Lamine Camara are expected to provide creativity and energy, while the attack boasts the pace and experience of Mané, Ismaïla Sarr, Iliman Ndiaye and Jackson.

Senegal will face France, Norway and Iraq in Group I of the tournament.

The Teranga Lions begin their World Cup campaign against France on June 16 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey before taking on Norway on June 22. They will conclude the group stage against Iraq on June 26.
