Serena Williams has been granted a wildcard entry into the women’s singles draw at Wimbledon Championships, marking a major return to top-level competition.
The 44-year-old will make her first singles appearance at Wimbledon since 2022, following a near four-year absence from the format.
Williams, a seven-time Wimbledon singles champion and 23-time Grand Slam winner, had initially confirmed her comeback through doubles, where she is also set to feature alongside her sister, Venus Williams.
