Seye Oladejo Unveils Agenda for Mushin Reps Seat

House of Representatives aspirant for Mushin Constituency II, Seye Oladejo, has outlined his legislative and grassroots development plans ahead of the next election, promising what he described as “real representation” for residents of the constituency.

Oladejo, who currently serves as the Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the APC, said his ambition is driven by experience in public service and a desire to deliver effective representation for the people of Mushin.

He has served in several strategic positions in Lagos State, including as former Secretary of Mushin Local Government, former Chairman of Mushin Local Government, former Commissioner, and former Special Adviser to the Governor.

Speaking on leadership and representation, Oladejo referenced the Yoruba saying, “Show me your leader – Gbogbo Eyin Oju la fe ni,” stressing that leadership must reflect competence, accountability, and service to the people.

He described the support of residents and party faithful as a call to greater responsibility and pledged to justify their trust through impactful representation at the National Assembly.

In a policy document titled The Pact: A Social Contract with the Good People of Mushin Constituency II, Oladejo outlined several proposed bills and intervention programmes focused on infrastructure, youth empowerment, healthcare, education, and economic development.

Among the proposed legislations are the Lagos Special Status and Infrastructure Support Bill to secure increased federal funding for Lagos, and the Local Government Autonomy and Recognition Bill seeking constitutional recognition for the 37 LCDAs.

Other bills include the National Youth Skills and Employment Development Bill, the Public Education Support and Equity Bill, the National Mental Health and Community Care Bill, and the MSME and Informal Sector Growth Bill aimed at supporting artisans, traders, and small businesses.

On education, Oladejo promised free JAMB and GCE forms for indigent students, scholarships for exceptional students in public institutions, and support for strategic fields including ICT, engineering, medicine, environmental sciences, cybersecurity, and mental health studies.

He also pledged to revive debate and quiz competitions in secondary schools while promoting Yoruba language, culture, and heritage among younger generations.

For artisans and tradesmen, the APC spokesman proposed collaboration with the Industrial Training Fund for re-skilling programmes, equipment support, and initiatives designed to promote self-employment and sustainable business growth.

The aspirant further promised free medical outreach programmes, mental health advocacy, sporting competitions, talent discovery initiatives, and financial support programmes for market men and women in the constituency.

Oladejo also outlined plans for targeted support for widows, orphans, persons living with disabilities, and hospital patients as part of his social welfare and inclusion agenda.

Reaffirming his loyalty to the APC manifesto, he said his focus remains transparent leadership, inclusive governance, and delivering tangible development across Mushin Constituency II.

“With the support of the people, together we will build a constituency we can all be proud of,” he said.
