Tinubu Congratulates Modi on Becoming India’s Longest-Serving Elected Prime Minister

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving elected prime minister, describing the achievement as a reflection of the trust and confidence reposed in his leadership by the Indian people.

In a statement, Tinubu said Modi’s emergence as the longest-serving elected prime minister after three consecutive mandates demonstrates his dedication to public service, commitment to national development and influence on the global stage.

The Nigerian leader described Modi as “a personal friend and trusted ally,” saying he has come to admire the Indian prime minister’s wisdom, courage and commitment to the progress and prosperity of his country.

Tinubu also noted that Modi, a recipient of Nigeria’s national honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), has played a significant role in strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and India.

The president said Modi’s contributions have helped deepen the friendship and cooperation between both countries.

Tinubu wished the Indian leader continued good health, wisdom and success as he continues to lead India, expressing confidence in the country’s future under Modi’s leadership.
