President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress, charging members to work together to secure victory for the party in the 2027 general election.
Speaking at the inauguration in Abuja on Wednesday, Tinubu stressed the need for a united campaign capable of delivering wins across the country.
He told members that the party must secure victory at every level, from polling booths to wards and states.
The President also commended Vice President Kashim Shettima for his leadership and service to the country, praising his contributions to Nigeria and its people.
He described women as the party’s greatest mobilisers and urged them to intensify efforts towards securing electoral victory.
Tinubu linked the party’s success to his administration’s efforts to promote women’s representation in leadership, particularly through the proposed introduction of reserved seats for women in elected positions.
He also expressed confidence that the proposed establishment of state police would succeed.
The inauguration marks a major step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 general election, as the ruling party seeks to strengthen its campaign structure and secure a second term for Tinubu.
