United States President Donald J. Trump has warned Iran against retaliatory strikes, hours after Iranian authorities confirmed the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei following joint U.S.-Israeli airstrikes.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said Iran had signaled plans for a major attack, warning that the U.S. would respond with “a force that has never been seen before” if they follow through.
“Iran just stated that they are going to hit very hard today… If they do, we will hit them with a force that has never been seen before,” Trump wrote.
Iranian state media confirmed Khamenei’s death after airstrikes targeted leadership and military sites in Tehran, raising fears of wider regional escalation.
