The United States Embassy in Abuja says it will remain closed for routine business until Monday, March 9, 2026, due to the potential for protests in the Federal Capital Territory.
In a notice posted on its official X handle, the mission said visa appointments earlier scheduled for March 4 and 5 have been moved to next week.
American Citizen Services appointments set for March 5 have also been rescheduled.
The embassy advised visa applicants to check their email or AVITS account for their new appointment dates, while ACS applicants were asked to monitor their email for updates.
It added that applicants who do not receive a new appointment date should contact the embassy through the Visa Navigator for assistance.
The mission also urged the public to monitor its website and social media channels for further updates.
