A fire outbreak at Terminal 1 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos has been brought under control.
Authorities say all 12 personnel in the control tower were safely rescued without injury.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that no one was trapped in the incident.
According to officials, the fire started from the IT server room on the third floor of the five storey building located at the E wing of the departure lounge.
Emergency responders say the blaze was contained through coordinated efforts involving multiple agencies.
Controller General Margaret Adeseye assured that further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
