ADC asks Lagos Residents to Join Hands to Defeat APC in 2027

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has asked the people of Lagos State to work together with the party to remove the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from power in the 2027 general elections.

At a large rally held in Oshodi/Isolo over the weekend, party leaders told a crowd of supporters that the ADC is ready to "rescue" Lagos but needs the help of ordinary citizens to succeed.

Rahman Owokoniran, a top leader of the party in Lagos, said the state has been managed poorly since 1999 and that it is time for a change.

"This is a call for readiness to stand firmly with the ADC," Owokoniran said. He set a big goal for the party: to get at least five million committed supporters out of the 10 million registered voters in Lagos before the next election.

Adebisi Jegede, the ADC leader in Oshodi/Isolo, described the party as a "fresh alternative" that Nigerians have been waiting for. He promised that an ADC government would be fair to everyone and ensure justice and security.

To achieve this goal, the Lagos State Chairman of the ADC, George Ashiru, has announced a new plan to reach young people.

The party will set up "Ward Youth Councils" in every area and use social media to connect with voters who are tired of the usual politics.

The party claims that other big opposition figures are also looking to align with them to form a strong team to fix the country.
