FAAN Opens Pick-Up Points for Go-Cashless Cards Ahead of March Rollout

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has begun issuing Go-Cashless cards to travelers and airport users ahead of the nationwide March 1 rollout.

In a statement on Friday, FAAN said the cards can be collected immediately at all commercial offices and access gates across the country. From March 16, selected branches of Fidelity Bank Plc will also distribute the cards.

The initiative aligns with a federal directive for all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to adopt cashless systems to boost transparency, reduce revenue leakages, and improve transaction traceability.

Henry Agbebire, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, urged travelers to cooperate with the transition. “The Go-Cashless cards will promote faster, safer, and more convenient transactions at airports across Nigeria,” he said.

FAAN added that travelers can still obtain cards at designated points even after the March 1 deadline.
