Israel Strikes Iran’s Nuclear Sites as War Enters Fifth Week

Israel has launched fresh air strikes on nuclear-related sites in Iran as the ongoing war between the two countries enters its fifth week, raising fears of a wider conflict in the Middle East.

According to reports, Israeli forces targeted key facilities linked to Iran’s nuclear programme, including a heavy-water plant near the Arak reactor and a uranium production site in central Iran.

Israeli officials said the strikes were aimed at stopping Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

They also claimed the sites were being rebuilt or used for sensitive nuclear activities.

Iran confirmed the attacks and said it had informed the International Atomic Energy Agency.

There were no immediate reports of radiation leaks, but the strikes have increased global concern about nuclear safety.

The latest attacks come as fighting between Israel and Iran continues across several countries.

Iran has responded by launching missiles and drones at Israeli and allied targets, while Israel has carried out more strikes on Iranian positions and its allies in the region.

The conflict, which began in late February, has already caused heavy damage and loss of life.

Reports say hundreds of people have been killed, and key infrastructure has been destroyed on both sides.

There are also signs the war could spread further.

Armed groups linked to Iran, including fighters in Yemen and Lebanon, have joined the fighting, attacking Israeli targets.

World leaders have called for calm, but efforts to reach a ceasefire have not yet succeeded.

Many fear the situation could grow into a larger regional war if the violence continues.
