Tinubu to Visit France, Kenya, and Rwanda

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will travel to France, Kenya and Rwanda starting Saturday, May 2, for a series of international meetings focused on economic growth and partnerships.

According to a State House statement, Tinubu will first visit France before heading to Nairobi, Kenya, for the Africa-France Summit scheduled for 11th to 12th May.

The summit, co-chaired by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto, will focus on key issues such as energy transition, digital growth and climate action.

The presidency said Tinubu’s participation “will underscore Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with African nations and the French Republic.”

The summit, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” will provide “a high-level platform” to discuss economic transformation, infrastructure, youth empowerment and peace-building.

After the Kenya meeting, Tinubu will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, to attend the Africa CEO Forum from 14th to 15th May.

Organisers say the forum, themed “Scale or Fail,” will bring together over 2,000 business leaders, investors and policymakers to explore ways to boost economic growth.

It will focus on “accelerating economic transformation through shared scale, regional integration, and increased cross-border investment.”

The statement added that Tinubu will “deliver statements highlighting his administration’s ongoing reforms to reposition the nation as a prime destination for investment and growth.”

He is also expected to hold meetings with global and African business leaders.

The president will travel with ministers and senior aides and is expected to return to Nigeria after the Rwanda summit.
