Arsenal Fans Dare to Dream as Title Wait Nears End

Arsenal fans are starting to believe their long wait for a Premier League title could finally end after the club moved five points clear with two games left following a win over West Ham.

Some supporters of the club in Lagos spoke about nerves, excitement, and hopes as Mikel Arteta’s side closes in on its first league crown in 22 years.

Many fans said the feeling is hard to describe after years of jokes from rival supporters.

One fan said he had his “heart in my hands” during the West Ham match, while another admitted he was trying not to celebrate too early because “we still need to win the games.”

Supporters also praised Arteta for sticking to his plan despite difficult seasons in the past.

Several fans said the team now looks stronger, more mature and ready to compete with Europe’s best clubs.

When asked about Arsenal’s player of the season, midfielder Declan Rice and goalkeeper David Raya were the top choices. Fans praised Rice for controlling games in midfield, while Raya earned praise for making important saves throughout the campaign.

The thought of finally winning the title already has fans planning celebrations.

Some said they would party with friends at bars and watch parties, while others joked about “shaming the haters” online if Arsenal gets the job done against Burnley or Crystal Palace.

For now, though, most supporters agree on one thing: Arsenal just needs to win the next game.
