Former world no. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas has returned to title-winning form after clinching the Swiss Open Gstaad crown, ending a lengthy wait for silverware.
The Greek star battled past Raphael Collignon in a three-set final to secure his first ATP title in over a year, marking a major turnaround in what has been a challenging period in his career.
Tsitsipas, who had not featured in an ATP final for over 16 months prior to this tournament, showed resilience throughout the week, winning multiple three-set matches on his way to the title.
In the final, Tsitsipas took the opening set before being pushed to a tiebreak in the second by Collignon. The Belgian forced a decider, but the Greek regained control in the third set to seal the victory.
The win completes an impressive run in Gstaad, where Tsitsipas overcame several tough opponents, including Aleksandr Shevchenko in the semi-final.
